WARNING, MAINTENANCE

Please read carefully! Important notes, limitations and recommendations!

Voltages over 50V can usually cause dangerous amounts of current to flow through a human being who touches two points of a circuit—so safety standards, in general, are more restrictive around such circuits. In some cases electric shock could be caused with voltages over 36V.

We have no control over the installing of its products on the battery pack and we can assume no responsibility for the safety or functionality of the complete battery pack. The end user should assume all risk associated by using this device. Periodically checking the BMS functionality is strongly recommended. This Battery/BMS is not recommended for use in critical applications since there is no self diagnostic and fault notification / protection. It can fail any time as any other electronic device.

Use only dedicated charger with limited voltage specified for the certain battery pack / BMS.
Strongly recommend to install a fuse on the positive wire if not exist on the golf cart / car/ bike.

Do not overload the battery pack with higher current - more than specified for each pack. Overloading can cause battery damage, cables overheating, melting cables and fire

Do not discharge the battery under the recommended voltage - discharging battery under certain level could damage the battery. Also could deactivate the BMS, so charging will be impossible. In that case the battery have to be charged directly, using different charger.

Assembling and using this products (BMS / batteries) requires advanced electrical/electronics knowledge and skills. By buying / assembling this product you acknowledge you have the necessary professional knowledge, protections, premises, equipment and tools to handle and work with high voltage electric and you understand and accept responsibility for all possible risks. Please consult and/or use the services of a professional electrical technician to properly assemble and connect the BMS and the battery cells. We have no knowledge and control over your project, calculations, design, power source, load, etc. and we cannot provide specific instructions or guarantee fit of this battery/BMS for your specific intended use. The use of this product assume the you understand and accept full responsibility. Nothing here should be considered implicit instructions for utilizing the battery/BMS for any specific project - including for assembling, connecting and operating any specific battery pack.

Lithium-ion batteries can dissipate extremely high levels of energy when short circuit occurs! In such cases high temperature, fire and sparks are possible. Always wear protective glasses and use high voltage gloves. Make sure that there are no loose metal objects above and around the working area that can incidentally fall on the cells. One of the most common reasons for short circuits during DIY assembly of Li-Ion cells pack is falling of metal instruments over the cells electrodes.

BMS - self installing. When installed for first time - check all functionality, confirm if working properly first - battery cell voltages, test charging on/off function, discharging on/off function (when present) via the WiFi connection and confirm working or problem with the seller before start using the pack. The BMS warranty will be confirmed - only if is confirmed working first. If the BMS does not start working properly at the first connecting - probably is burned due to wrong connection - the warranty will be void.

MAINTENANCE - The Lithium battery is a complex electronic device, that have to operate in proper conditions only. High or low temperatures, damage, water could harm the battery and the electronic device BMS - that ensures the proper charging / balancing of the battery. If the BMS/charger fail for any reason - could damage the battery and the safe operations of the battery pack. Is owners responsibility to know if the battery is in properly working condition before using or charging it. Charging / using damaged battery can cause fire. Strongly recommend to check battery status checking the battery status every month by connecting the WiFi device and verifying if the battery and the BMS are functioning properly.
If you plan to leave the battery unused for long time - over 1 month - charge it to 50-80% and turn off the WiFI, - disconnect the main (RED) connector and the charging connector (gray). If not used for more than 3 months - disconnect the BMS harness.

Periodically check the battery voltages per each cell - using the WiFI connection or by a voltmeter - measuring cell by cell - if the WiFI connection is not present. Difference higher than 0.1V(100mV) per cell could be sign for BMS malfunction. Battery/BMS have to be tested when fully charged. No one cell should be over 4.2V.
