Battery Management System SD Technology - SDT14S20A

This is an advanced battery management system, fully programmable, designed to be installed in low voltage applications - like Golf Carts, e-Bikes, Solar storage systems, etc. The integrated WiFi Access Point - insuring easy diagnostic of the battery condition, level of charge, cells balancing and more.

providing the following functions:

  • Integrated WiFI web server AP -
    Displays: diagnostic information, cell voltage levels, pack voltage, temperature, charging current, charging Ah only. Also possible to Disable/Enable charging or discharging by WiFi. Button installed to turn off/on the WiFi server.
  • Programmable by USB cable (OPTIONAL)
  • Managing 10 to 14 cells  - Lithiun-ion, LiFePo4, LiMn- - default configuration - 14S (for different number of cells than 14 - contact us to provide suitable harness)
  • Pack Balancing shunts - 100mA - programmable starting voltage and deviance.
  • Balancing could be “continuously” on idle or “during charging only”.
  • Suitable for high quality batteries 10-120Ah.
  • Overcharge protection - programmable 3.5-5V per cell.
  • Over discharge protection - programmable 2.5-4V per cell - possible only if added external contactor/relay.
  • Voltage measurement accuracy 2mV per cell (when calibrated).
  • Calibration of the cell voltages, charge/discharge current.
  • Over current protection - programmable up to 30A
  • Short circuit protection - programmable 20-80A.
  • Integrated current shunt 1mΩ 
  • Coulomb counter - in Ah - charging/discharging only 
  • Calculation of the remaining capacity based on the set voltages.
  • Programmable temperature protection for low and high temperature;
  • Temperature sensors - 2 internal - transistors, surrounding temperature;
  • Low current draw - 60-200uA idle.
  • NO power supply necessary to operate.

When this BMS is useed for high power applications (over 30A), the load have to be connected directly to the battery or via contactor / relay to switch the load for overdischarge protection.

The BMS will be shipped programmed to your specific battery parameters.
By default - lithium battery settings for 14S, max 4.2V per cell, min 2.7V per cell, temperature range 0-55C charging, -10-65C discharging.


The price for the set includes:

  • 1' wire 12AWG black to the battery negative
  • 2' wire 12 AWG black to the charger negative
  • 3' wire 12 AWG red to the charger positve/battery positive

* Warning: By purchasing you acknowledge that you have all the necessary knowledge and experience to operate with high and low voltage electricity, and have advanced knowledge of batteries, electronics, wiring.  Suitable charger is required - compatible with the battery chemistry and voltage. 

 
** Warranty: The warranty is for the BMS parts only - if appear defect in the BMS - will be replaced or repaired. The complete battery pack is not covered by the BMS warranty if purchased as parts only DIY. Shipping expenses for the BMS to our facility for repair or replacement is not covered by the warranty. Shipping back the repaired/replaced product will use a standard shipping. Expedited shipping have to be covered by the purchaser. Warranty of this BMS does not cover nothing else, but the BMS only. Improper connections, or not suitable charger will burn the BMS and will not protect the battery. The battery pack have to be checked periodically - for the functionality of the BMS and cell voltages and potential problems. Damaged batteries due to Improperly connected or defective BMS will not be covered. The warranty of the BMS is valid only if properly installed. Loose connections and wrong connections will burn the BMS.
The BMS is electronic device and could fail any time for different reasons. Is not designed for critical application to guarantee 100% uninterrupted service. Failing the BMS work can damage the battery if the charger is not specially designed for the battery, cells are not balanced or temperatures are not in the working range of the battery, etc
